Equally important to its worldwide reputation is the influence Mechanics Hall has within the region. An important community gathering space, Mechanics Hall hosts concerts and recording sessions, black-tie gala and fundraising events, business meetings, weddings and proms, political and social events. People in the Central Massachusetts community hold Mechanics Hall dear to their hearts and, through membership, have proved their commitment to its preservation.

MEMBERSHIP in the Friends of Mechanics Hall continues the legacy of the generations that came before us and ensures that Mechanics Hall will stand to inspire many generations to come. The Hall has two fund drives annually: the Annual Appeal in the fall and Friends of the Hall in the spring.

FRIENDS OF MECHANICS HALL are important ambassadors of our mission to preserve the Hall and to foster community use of the facility. We encourage our members to patronize performances and events and to urge their businesses, families, and friends to consider using Mechanics Hall for functions ranging from intimate to grand.

CORPORATE MEMBERS are also eligible for a one-time per year rental discount and their employees receive a gift shop discount. MEMBERSHIP DONATIONS are used for operating expenses, preservation efforts, and to help subsidize use of Mechanics Hall by other non-profit organizations.
