Saxophonist Dan Moretti recently released a new album\, titled Dan Moretti and BRAZILIA Live at the Pump House which was #1 RMR and #6 Jazz Week and stayed on the charts for 23 weeks. He brings his signature mix of jazz\, funk\, and Latin rhythms to Mechanics Hall for a performance packed with jaw-dropping rhythms and performances. With a career spanning decades\, Moretti has performed with legends like Aretha Franklin\, Ray Charles\, and Robert Plant. Whether you’re a long-time jazz fan or new to the genre\, this concert promises something special for everyone.  The quartet consists of Dan on Alto and Tenor Saxes\, Marty Richards-Drums\, Maxim Lubarsky-Piano and Lou Bocciarelli-Bass\n\n \nAbout Dan Moretti\n\nA lifelong musician and educator\, Dan Moretti launched his career at age 12 with a debut at the Newport Jazz Festival. He’s since recorded and toured internationally\, appearing with some of the best-known soul and R&B stars who recorded for Atlantic Records and Motown\, including Ray Charles\, Aretha Franklin\, Ben E. King\, The Four Tops and the Temptations.  A  Berklee College of Music professor emeritus and award-winning composer. \n\nThe Brown Bag Concert Series\, presented by Mechanics Hall and 90.5 FM WICN\, has been a beloved tradition in Worcester since 1983. These hour-long concerts by acclaimed regional and national performers are held in the Great Hall on select Wednesdays from noon to 1pm. Bring your own “brown bag” lunch\, or purchase a treat at our concession stand and enjoy wonderful music while eating your lunch! Cabaret-style seating available on a first-come\, first-served basis. All concerts are free\, open to the public\, and subject to change. \nThe accessible entrance to Mechanics Hall is located on Waldo Street. Elevators are located in the ground-floor lobby and provide access to the second and third floors. Please note\, there is no elevator access to the balcony. All concerts take place in the Great Hall on the third floor.
