SUMMARY:Worcester Organ Performance Series: Youth Showcase featuring Dylan Shaw & Luke Staisiunas
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the next generation of organ talent at this special Organ Youth Showcase\, part of the Worcester Organ Performance Series. Featuring rising young organists exploring both theater and concert traditions\, this inspiring concert highlights the creativity\, skill\, and passion of tomorrow’s performers on the magnificent E. & G.G. Hook Organ (Opus 334\, 1864) at Mechanics Hall. This showcase reflects Mechanics Hall’s commitment to supporting emerging artists and cultivating the next generation of organists.\n \nWorcester Organ Performance Series: Youth Showcase featuring Dylan Shaw & Luke Staisiunas \nWednesday\, April 8\, 2026\nDoors Open: 11:30 AM | Performance: 12:00 PM \nMechanics Hall\, Worcester\, MA  \nFree Admission  \nLunch is welcome—bring your own or pick something up at concessions! \n\n \nDylan David Shaw is Parish Organist and Director of Music at Zion Lutheran Church in Bristol\, PA. A native of Philadelphia\, he was enraptured with the pipe organ from a very young age. He began lessons on the piano at age five and then on the organ at age eleven. Dylan frequented the Grand Court at Macy’s to hear the evening concerts. Through these regular visits\, he became well acquainted with Wanamaker Grand Court Organist Peter Richard Conte and the late Michael Stairs\, former organist for The Philadelphia Orchestra. \nDylan continued organ studies with and served as a console assistant for Michael Stairs. For nearly 11 years\, Dylan served as an Assistant Grand Court Organist for Peter Richard Conte at the Wanamaker Organ\, where he performed several concerts each week\, with programs ranging from Bach’s works to the occasional Disney tune. \n \nLuke Staisiunas is a versatile musician and technician based in Philadelphia. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma\, his studies under Dr. Adam Pajan\, Dr. Damin Spritzer\, and Dr. John Schwandt included a diverse array of musical endeavors\, alongside his training in pipe organ technology. \nAt the Wanamaker Organ\, he has served as one of Peter Richard Conte’s assistants\, filling in for recitals as required on the world-famous instrument. During the summer season\, he is a frequent performer on the world’s largest musical instrument\, the Midmer-Losh organ in Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall. \nHe is regularly engaged as a freelance technician in and around Philadelphia. Additionally\, he serves as a board member and Secretary of the American Theatre Organ Society; the board of the Dickinson Theatre Organ Society; and as a consultant\, technician\, and performer for the Garden State Theatre Organ Society. \nOutside of work\, he enjoys hosting cocktail parties for his friends\, working on restoring a vintage reproducing (player) piano\, and pursuing amateur efforts at gardening. \n\nFor more information about The Worcester Organ\, visit us at www.MechanicsHall.org/the-worcester-organ   \n \n \n

SUMMARY:Club 321: Featuring Splendid Torch
DESCRIPTION:Artist: Splendid Torch \nMassachusetts’ own Splendid Torch brings a bright\, upbeat sound rooted in Indie rock and Americana traditions. Longtime collaborators with undeniable chemistry\, the foursome crafts songs with lush lyricism and infectious energy. Fiddle and mandolin weave together with guitars\, bass\, and drums to deliver a full sound rich with spontaneous energy. Come for the bluegrass\, stay for the vibes. Splendid Torch brings rootsy energy to Club 321 fans! \n\nMassachusetts-based band Splendid Torch dwells in spontaneity and synthesis\, conjuring an unexpectedly broad sound from just four musicians.
