Although the band is headquartered in Hockessin, Delaware its members come from communities all along the multi-state area of the Chesapeake Bay region including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland. The band members are all volunteer and are accomplished amateur and professional community musicians. Members represent a wide range of occupations including engineers, scientists, teachers, lawyers, business owners, accountants and retired adults. Since its inception the band maintains an active performance schedule throughout Delaware, as well as the Mid-Atlantic region of New Jersey and Pennsylvania and at events in Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, Indiana and New York. The band has released eight CDs’ and on a regular basis performs at the Gettysburg; Dublin, Ohio and Mid-Atlantic Brass Band Festivals. The band has been featured four times at the Association of Concert Bands national convention. The band plays an entertaining mix of music from traditional British brass band transcriptions to light classics, marches, big band/swing, jazz and pops as well as providing a narrative on the music to add personal interest, humor and educational value to the concerts.

The New England Brass Band, a registered 501c3 non-profit organization, is an all volunteer brass and percussion ensemble, adhering to the instrumentation of the “British Brass Band” tradition. Based in the Boston area, the NEBB rehearses weekly in Wilmington, Massachusetts and draws auditioned players from all New England states. Established in 1988 under the direction of founding Music Director William Rollins, the NEBB has performed throughout New England, including concerts at Boston University’s Tsai Performance Center, Symphony Hall in Boston, Mechanics Hall in Worcester, and the Shalin Lieu Performance Center in Rockport. In addition, the NEBB has participated in the Northeast Brass Band championships at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY, the Mid-Atlantic Brass Band Festival in Glassboro, NJ, and the North American Brass Band Association competition throughout the country. Over the years, the NEBB continues its tradition of community giving and musical inspiration. This has included contributing over $4,500 to the worldwide Brass Band Aid fundraising effort to build a school in Adet, Ethiopia.  During the 2007 – 2008 Season, the band donated 10% of proceeds from sales of its CD ‘Be Glad Then America’ to Home For Our Troops, an organization that raises funds to build housing for severely disabled veterans. Since then, the NEBB has continued to perform gratis fundraising concerts at a number of venues including the Wilmington Congregational Church, the Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center in Boston (for the Salvation Army), and at several schools in low/moderate income communities throughout Massachusetts.
