Cara Brindisi returns to Mechanics Hall for her 5th Annual Winter Solstice Concert: music, community and light for the longest night.

Gather for an evening of warmth, belonging, and reverie. A beloved tradition in our community, Cara Brindisi’s Winter Solstice Concert welcomes the season with music, light, and a little winter magic. As we approach the longest night of the year, this festive evening brings us together in the glow of song, celebrating the beauty of winter’s darkness and the light we share. Whimsical and heartfelt, the concert weaves traditional holiday favorites with pop, jazz, and country, alongside songs that explore darkness, light, snow, and the changing of seasons. Across generations, backgrounds, and musical tastes, there’s something familiar to treasure and something new to fall in love with. Produced by Cara Brindisi, whose roots in the New England music scene span 15 years, the concert began in 2022 following her time on The Voice. It has since become a seasonal tradition. A night to gather, reconnect, and make memories.

Cara Brindisi is a New England-based singer, songwriter and board-certified music therapist (Berklee, 2010) who has spent 15+ years bringing music to hospice patients and families. In 2022 she appeared on Season 22 of NBC’s The Voice, where John Legend called her voice “perfect” and Blake Shelton “hypnotizing.” Her first sold-out Winter Solstice Concert at Mechanics Hall followed, now an annual tradition.

Mechanics Hall is not just where the event takes place. It is part of the experience. For many guests, the draw is not only the performer or program but also the opportunity to enjoy live music in a space with architectural character, strong acoustics, and a long cultural history in Worcester. What's more, Mechanics Hall is conveniently located within walking distance from many downtown locations including restaurants and bars.

Accessibility

Accessible Entrance
The barrier-free entrance to the building is located on Waldo Street. Elevators are located in the ground-floor lobby and provide access to the second and third floors. There is no elevator access to the Great Hall balcony.

Accessible Halls
All of our halls are wheelchair-accessible, where patrons can remain in their wheelchairs or transfer to theater seats. Patrons who cannot or do not wish to transfer from their wheelchairs to a theater seat should request wheelchair-seat locations when ordering tickets. The Great Hall balcony is not wheel-chair accessible.
