Join us for a joyful holiday tradition as Mechanics Hall Principal Organist Peter Krasinski returns with a heartwarming program of seasonal favorites and light classics to celebrate the season of light. This year’s concert features the extraordinary Choir of All Saints Church, under the direction of Kevin Neel, and special guest soloist Christon Carney.

The program includes beloved holiday selections, an audience sing-along, selections from Waltz of the Flowers, and a short silent film brought to life with live organ accompaniment by Peter Krasinski.

Peter Edwin Krasinski Mechanics Hall Principal Organist

Peter Edwin Krasinski is broadly recognized as a motivating consultant for the pipe organ community, and as a conductor, organist and music educator, whose imaginative and energetic performances elevate and inform audiences. Along with regular concert appearances he specializes in live improvised silent film accompaniment, worldwide. He has premiered the art in major venues in North America, Europe and Asia. He is the recipient of a number of prizes including the First Prize in Improvisation from the American Guild of Organists National Competition.

House Organist of the Providence Performing Arts Center, Mr. Krasinski was past Dean of the Boston Chapter AGO. He is Organist at First Church of Christ, Scientist in Providence RI, accompanist at Beth El Temple Center in Belmont, MA and recently presented Master Classes at the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki, Finland. He holds both a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education and Organ Performance, and the Master of Sacred Music Degree from Boston University.

Christon Carney Managing Director, Many Voices: Mechanics Hall Youth Singers

Tenor Christon Carney debuted with the Nashville Opera as Giuseppe (La Traviata) and has played the role of Guard (Die Zauberflöte) with the New England Conservatory Opera program. Christon has performed with the Nashville Symphony, Nashville Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Rhode Island Civic Orchestra and Chorale, and premiered several independent operas and orchestral works in principal roles across the country.

Christon holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Lipscomb University, and completed New England Conservatory’s masters program in Vocal Performance, with emphasis on Vocal Pedagogy. During his training, Christon was honored to participate in masterclasses led by Lawrence Brownlee, Ben Heppner and other esteemed guests.

A 2024 Worcester Business Journal 40 Under Forty Recipient, Christon is Manager of Education and Outreach at Mechanics Hall, where he is also Managing Director of the Mechanics Hall Many Voices Youth Singers.
