Experience Mechanics Hall

Mechanics Hall is not just where the event takes place. It is part of the experience. For many guests, the draw is not only the performer or program but also the opportunity to enjoy live music in a space with architectural character, strong acoustics, and a long cultural history in Worcester. What's more, Mechanics Hall is conveniently located within walking distance from many downtown locations including restaurants and bars.

Accessibility

Accessible Entrance
The barrier-free entrance to the building is located on Waldo Street. Elevators are located in the ground-floor lobby and provide access to the second and third floors. There is no elevator access to the Great Hall balcony.

Accessible Halls
All of our halls are wheelchair-accessible, where patrons can remain in their wheelchairs or transfer to theater seats. Patrons who cannot or do not wish to transfer from their wheelchairs to a theater seat should request wheelchair-seat locations when ordering tickets. The Great Hall balcony is not wheel-chair accessible.

Reviews of Mechanics Hall

…one of the top cultural treasures of Worcester.

Completed in 1857, with a unique organ installed ca.1864, this concert and assembly venue continues to serve as a vital resource for the City of Worcester and its cultural communities. An accessible venue for physically handicapped persons.

PN
…the very best acoustics.

Highly recommend going there for a concert and some it's very similar to Symphany Hall in Boston there are no bad seats. We have been there twice with the last time seeing the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra

MW
…the weight of the history, art and music.

Walking into this concert felt very special, the magnificent stairs, and the red carpet leading up to the concert Hall...itself has been decorated with lots of paintings of significance...

AA
… historical character and vibe.

It's a beautiful experience!
