From its very beginnings in 1842, the Worcester County Mechanics Association (WCMA) has been committed to education and self-improvement. Early activities--including lectures, debates, classes, exhibition fairs, and a lending library--were focused on training a new workforce in the mechanical arts and addressing important moral issues of the 19th-century.
Today, continuing this long tradition of providing learning opportunities for our community, we are pleased to offer resources for contemporary audiences, including an online literacy library and virtual performances.
In addition, throughout the year, many Mechanics Hall programs and events are free and open to the public. Check our Events and Tickets page for upcoming events.
