The Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra
With its mission to make its high-quality symphonic concerts accessible to as many people in the community as possible, the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra's annual activities include its admission-free Summer Family Concert Series in Worcester's Institute Park as well as symphonic and 'pops' performances in Worcester's Tuckerman and Mechanics Halls, Clinton Town Hall and at Lowell Auditorium before audiences numbering in the thousands. The Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency dedicated to promoting the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences in the Commonwealth, said about the Massachusetts Symphony that "[f]or years the applicant ha[s] interacted with its community in a broad range of ways, leading to the group's well-established track record among its diverse supporters. The quality of [its] music is excellent, as is the organization's administration - which is dedicated to maintaining and extending the group's commitment to diversity."
