Each one of us can leave behind a gift that will ensure Mechanics Hall is enjoyed by future generations!
Named in honor of the second Executive Director of Mechanics Hall, The Norma J. Sandison Society includes individuals that have named Mechanics Hall in their wills and estate plans.
Planned giving is not only for the wealthy, as some may think. If Mechanics Hall has made a difference in your life, you can honor that experience by providing for the Hall with a planned gift. The most common way to leave a gift is through a bequest in your will. You can leave cash or stocks, life insurance proceeds. Other options include creating a trust that benefits Mechanics Hall during or after your lifetime, or naming the Hall beneficiary of an IRA or other retirement fund.
Planned gifts help to secure the Hall’s future. We have received bequests ranging from several hundred dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars and every penny benefits the well-being of Mechanics Hall now and in the future. Talk with a lawyer about setting up a planned gift.
If you wish to be recognized for your gift now, we would love to include you with the membership of The Norma J. Sandison Society. Use the link here to declare your bequest intention by completing the form and sending it to us in the postal mail or by scanning it and sending it by email.
WHAT IS A PLANNED GIFT?
Any one of us can leave meaningful gifts to the people and organizations that have made a difference in our lives. Planned giving is not only for the wealthy. If you have any assets – cash or stocks, a home, life insurance – you can leave a legacy. We ask that you consider Mechanics Hall among the gifts you plan to leave behind.
The most common way to leave a gift is through a bequest in your will. You can specify in your will a certain dollar amount or a percentage of your estate to be left to your family and to Mechanics Hall and other organizations that have made a difference in your life. You can donate personal property or designate proceeds from a life insurance policy or from your investments. Other options include creating a trust that benefits the Hall during or after your lifetime, or naming the Hall beneficiary of an IRA or other retirement fund.
Planned gifts help to secure the Hall’s future. We have received bequests ranging from several hundred dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars and every penny benefits the well-being of Mechanics Hall now or in the future.
We encourage you to decide today to leave a gift to Mechanics Hall!
