"Swinging through the Decades of Jazz” immerses Worcester Public School 6th-grade students in the rich history and cultural evolution of jazz music in the United States. From its roots in African traditions to the influence of diverse cultures, students will explore how jazz became one of America’s most celebrated musical genres.
CULTURE LEAP
Designed for Worcester Public School students, these experiences, known as Culture LEAPs (Learning Through Arts Partnerships) breathe life into the curriculum. Through experiential learning and investigation in museums, a wildlife sanctuary and live theatre and music, active learning takes place and strengthens problem solving and critical thinking skills.”
